How does one become a butterfly?" she asked. "You must want to fly so much that you are willing to give up being a caterpillar."

The caterpillar does all the work but the butterfly gets all the publicity. Since my father’s death, I find myself getting interested with butterflies coz every time I’ll go to sleep I could see it in my room’s wall. Sometimes it’s small, sometimes big and there was a time it’s as big as my palm. Some people say butterflies signify spirit of our loved ones. I think it’s my father’s spirit inside that butterfly telling me he’s still there watching his family and telling… go on with life.

Alibangbang

Sa paghalin kang sangka tawo,
Indi gid malikawan makakita kang alibangbang.
Kun puti gani – ispiritu
Kun kolor kape – kwarta
Kun itum – may mapatay.
Apang ang alibangbang,
Simpli lang nga insekto,
Ulud nga natubuan kang pakpak.
Pakpak nga ginakalingawan kang tawo,
Indi ang ulud nga nagauribay kang pakpak,
Kundi ang pakpak nga de

It was a cold day of January 17 when I was born. My nanay got pregnant for two times, and all of my siblings died but when I was in her tummy, I was healthy and born out as a happy baby. My name has an origin, I was born inside a tricycle that’s why my name is “tricy”. I have a brother named ricky. I love to write karay-a poems simply because I want to promote karay-a language. I love music, eating muffins, chico and all kinds of chocolates. I enjoy the company of my highschool friends. I am studying at the University of the Philippines taking up Literature as a course.
I am tricy eugenio sumugat a simple daughter of Rodolfo and Francisca. We are once a happy family, but when tatay died, it seems that it’s the end of the world. My father's death, my move, and my frightening and difficult delivery created a tremendous amount of stress, pain, and sadness for me. I was practically devastated beyond recovery.

nagtuhaw sa karay-a

Patadyong

Pinasahi ikaw sa tanan,
May panapton nga ;
Mapino,
Malum-uk,
Madanlug.
Apang ang imu baraghal,
Daw pangabuhi kang tawo sa uma,
Mabudlay.

Banig

Kaimaw ta ikaw samtang gamay pa ako,
Naihian samtang nagadamgo.
Agud si Totot kag Nene mangin kaimaw mo man.

Ang Ceres Mapanaw run

Alas singko kang kaagahon ,
Si Inday ugtaw run.
Nagapirong anang mata,
Sige kimod, ha-a-a-y kanami pa magturog.
Ang kahumuk kang kutson kanami sa likod,
Dugangan pa kang maramig nga hangin kang kaagahon.
Antique marayu pa sa Miagao,
Duru pa nga banwa kag bukid ang maagyan.
Ang katurugun ni Inday sa Ceres padayunon,
Apang Inday dalia kay alsa singko y medya,
Ang ceres mapanaw run.
